Advent Reflection Dec. 22

God loved us so much, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

He justified us; it was a gift. By His grace, Christ redeemed us. So Jesus Himself is the greatest gift of this season.  Our response to such immense love and grace can only be one thing: to surrender all we are and will be to the One who loved, rescued and extended grace that we couldn’t possibly earn, to us.

We Have a Saviour  here

  1. The Greatest Gift ever given!!!!! Free, but at an immeasurable cost. I look around at all those who have so many gods, who are in “frantic mode” trying to fill that void and are refusing to “let go & let God”. We take pride in providing for ourselves with hard work, etc, and that has blinded so many. My/our prayer is that many will take that moment to ponder what exactly is the final reward of “treadmill living” and come into a personal relationship with the One Who loves us beyond anything we are able to comprehend!!!!!!!

    1. I pray that folks see that God Himself provided the solution to sin at His own expense, Jesus’ sacrifice in the cross. It truly is a gift, offered freely if we will just accept it.
      Thanks for your straight talk!
