In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were created by Him, and apart from Him there was nothing.
He said, “Let there be light, and there was!” He spoke into being the sky, sea, earth and stars. He created animals and plants, designing the perfect place for man—us. He desired that man, His creation would live in perfect fellowship with Him. Though He knew the outcome, He still gave us the gift of choice. The ability to think and to reason and make decisions.
Unfortunately, man chose to believe the deception of Satan, and disobey the Creator that loved him. This act of rebellion brought sin and its consequences into our daily lives. No more perfect fellowship with our Creator, no more light and goodness. It would be the saddest story ever, if it had ended there.
But it didn’t.
